Stabbing Eastward

MADISON, WISC. -- Well, I'm back on the grid, after a couple of blissful weeks without electricity, phone service, email or running water. No, I haven't been living in a shack on I-80. My exit from Berkeley was immediately followed by a couple of weeks in Northern Wisconsin, recovering from moving and gearing up for unpacking.

My last California meal was an avocado, sliced in two, sprinkled with sea salt and pepper and scooped out with a spoon. I ate it on the plane. Yum.

That is my favorite way to eat an avocado. David has been known to come home wanting to make a sandwich with said avocado only to learn that the entire fruit is now in my stomach. mmmmmm.

Interesting subject line.

Is "stabbing" something other people in the Midwest do regularly? California?

I am so sad you are not in CA anymore! I think you're in Ireland right now if memory serves me correctly. Wow. Let's talk soon!

Most of the stabbing in the midwest seems to happen in Detroit. However, there was a band from Illinois that were known to stab in the opposite direction.
