But I went to Prom!
Yesterday I was talking to someone about our dorkiest high school moments. His, that he eagerly passed on the Prom in order to work on a group physics project that involved an elaborate time-saving device designed to drop a quarter into a piggybank, yes, seems very dorky. I countered with the fact that I, as yearbook editor, inserted either my name or my imagine into our senior class yearbook in excess of 40 times. We both agreed that this example was more egocentric than dorky. But it's still bothering me: I was a dork in high school, but how to prove it? I have since come up with some more traditionally dorky moments.
Perhaps a vote is in order?

I didn't go to prom, but my non-attendence was far from my dorkiest moment. Anyway, wearing black to commemorate the last episode of "Cheers" is pretty dorky, but in a cool sort of way.
It should be mentioned that SJB was not as dorky as she claims to have been in high school. Not only did she go to Prom, but she was elected to Prom Court by the senior class. (Yes, I am a dork for looking this up in my yearbook.)
I think that my most dorky moment in high school came when it was discovered that I had a knack for parallel parking, and had to park my friends' cars when we returned from lunch at Bagels Forever.
Now, back to working on my group physics project...
Wow, thanks for that vote of approval, GM. Maybe I'll dedicate another entry to the ways in which I was uber cool in high school!
The reformed dork in this post wanted me to mention that it was a "Rube Goldberg" project he was working on, so I guess that makes it cool or something....
haha. i love the voting thing. you're such the pro-blogger.
